Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a progressive, non-surgical, exfoliating treatment that propels aluminum oxide crystals onto the surface of the skin for a gentle epidermal abrasion that reveals newer, healthier and younger skin. This is done by the speed of the crystal flow, which accelerates the turnover process.
It's usually done to the face, chest, neck, arms or hands.

How does it work?
Microdermabrasion works in two ways:
Correction: The abrasive action gently removes the surface layers of the skin, accelerating the cellular turnover process. This gradually resurfaces the skin, which gives it a younger appearance.

Stimulation: The vacuum action helps to stimulate circulation and provides nutrients needed for skin regeneration. It also stimulates formation of new collagen and elastin to improve skin tone, texture and elasticity.

What is the treatment like?

The treatment is performed with minimal discomfort, although it may sting a little around the eye area. Patients have compared the sensations of treatment to a light sunburn. After treatment, your skin will feel vibrant and healthy, and much softer and smoother. There is little downtime, and you can resume normal activities almost immediately. It can be done during your lunch hour. A series of  bi-weekly or monthly Microdermabrasions are recommended for best results.
